For more than 10 years Viêt Nam Plus practices action-theatre. Local peasants have been trained by the program, and have become real professionals as they present more than a hundred shows every year. They move from village to village, shows take place in the evening and many villagers come to see.
The topics: alcoholism, drugs, hygiene, savings, safe food, new agricultural techniques, treatment against tuberculosis...
On the average 200 people attend. One show costs a total of 30 euros: the actors, their transport, and the little equipment which they all must carry on the back of their motorcycle. Each year approximately 50.000 spectators attend.
