 Terre d'Oc, a French company which sells also through the many Nature et Découvertes shops, was looking for a fair trade supplier. Thiên Chi, local NGO & partner of Viêt Nam Plus, was interested, as it was a golden opportunity to create jobs.
17 jobs have thus been created, the income of the workers doubled, and more than a ton is produced every month. Terre d'Oc insists on protecting the trees and finances the replanting of 200% of the same varieties used by the program. The workers have working conditions which are much better than before. The program generates profits which are reinvested in the same villages by Thiên Chí. |
