Visits & volunteering in Vietnam

Group visits

Better than reading about the projects, come and see for your self! We are so fortunate to live with the teams in the field and to spend much time in the villages: this is a fantastic encouragement to continue and intensify our efforts. We invite you to visit the projects!

We work in 2 different regions of Vietnam : along the mountains of Bình Thuân, next to the sea, and also in the Mekong delta. Accross the border, we work in one of the poorest regions of Cambodia, in a totally different cultural and political context.

Group? Between 5 and 10 people. Not less? No, so that the team could concentrate on its work and not be distratcted by too many small groups. Not more? Better not, otherwise the villagers are submerged. In any case the team will try to split visitors into groups of 3-4. Interested? Write to us soon! If we do not have a proper number we will propose you to join another group.

Options:
You are less than 5, join a group.
  1. the complete tour, starting on the 3rd till the 14th.
  2. 1 or 2 of the 3 modules below, at the proposed dates.
You are 5 or more? We will design the program with you, at your preferred dates.

Dates: November-December-January. Why? To avoid the rains, the Têt holidays, the hottest months.

Transport is in a 15 seater Mercedes, air-conditionned. In the villages if you want to, you may opt for a motorcyle (with a driver).

And after? You will not forget this experience, and this is why we invite you! Like us, it will become difficult to say no after meeting extraordinary women, who, with an irresistible smile, struggle hard for their family and community. If you want to, we will be available to help you share your experience with friends (documents, videos etc.).

How much it costs (cost price), for transport, meals, hotels:
Module 1: 20 euros/person/day. Modules 2 or 3: 85 euros/person.

Module 1: 1 to 3 days

Visitors

Visits are most welcome but one must ask permission from the local authorities 2-10 days in advance. In any case contact us first and well beforehand!

Volunteers

Volonteers contribute enormously to the success of the "vietnam-quilts" program. The minimum stay is 9 months. Mainly at the shop in HCMC, but there are regular trips to meet the producers in the villages. See the personal website of Julien Huynh, about his experience as a volunteer! Interesting!
